This thread is relevant to the random arenas. I will tell you how to win even when you are outnumbered..

Let's go over something if you go in ra on a monk, you will be ganked. A Mesmer, you'll be ganked by spikers & other mesmers, an eke you will be ganked at a lower priority, healing rit ganked, war you'll get empathyd, necro will also be ganked, rangers will typically be left for dead, dervish will be hexd like the warrior and you will die, sin will be empathied backfired, paragon will be left alone cuz I mean rofl he's a guy who sings songs during battle I mean srsly WTF?

If you want to take advantage of how stupid these RA players are run a necro/assa. I wanted to test this to see if I was really good enough to pull this off. I brought 5 skills... Dash, enduring toxin, weaken knees, shadow of haste, FN.... Hex the player with your hexes, dash away and kite them until they die... I must have gotten 10 kills within 20mins. Every round I played I got 1-2 kills.

If you want to take advantage of lookingn like a weak melee warrior who has no skill, Run a W/A 16 tactics 12 Deadly arts. Gladiators defense, Riposte, Deadly riposte, Heal sig, Iron Palm, Augary of death, red sig, Dash. Simply enough you are a great weapon against mellee attackers. When somebody begins to attack you, Augary, riposte, Deadly riposte, glads, this will be a rough 190dmg + deep wound spike, deadly riposte is a 10 sec recharge so you can use on recharge often. This can easily farm off all unintellegent mellee attackers without having to blow your cover by using a Mesmer or necro.

Orrrr you can run a build that isn't completely retarded, helps the team, and would help win against people who have even the slightest clue of what's going on.

Last time I checked, there wern't too many of those people in RA. Part of RA is knowing you'll be playing against idiots most of the time, so planning ahead is a good thing.

Its because of you and people like you that RA is complete fail.

Ur necro build... is only good from 1 skill weaken knees, rest is utter crap. Couldnt kill a monk with only woh on his bar.

Ur warrior build... absolutely fabulous. You become target #4, the one to ignore until its just you left.

Or you can run a ranger, and interupt the crap thats stuffing you up, run a warrior and kill the stuff thats there, run a monk and pray to god that one of the other 3 players can kill, run a mesmer and shut down things for kills/defence etc. Notice something about all these builds that actually work as well? They are useful to the team.

BTW 10 kills in 20 minutes is so brilliant... seriously. I can get 10 kills in like 4 minutes using a basic sin spiker, and even then thats not that great.

Easiest way to win against bad players using a bad build is Mo/W.

Shield of Regen
Mending Touch
Shield of Absorption
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Gash
Bonetti's Defense
any other stance, no res sig allowed

Seriously, it works far too well even for RA. Just take the aggro and win.

The only people who ever truly win in RA are those who realize they misclicked and map out to TA for some actual 4v4.

16 tactics auspicious parry + double ripostes.

I actually want to try this just to be a dick.
If you put a bit of decent offense on then they can't quite just ignore you, but you certainly won't stomp all over casters.
Auspicious parry boosts your offense, but obviously only if you're getting attacked.

OH ALSO: As an intelligent war I can say that I switch targets the instant I see even one riposte go up.
With the possible exception of monks who use deadly riposte.

A series of ripostes can hit me for 400+ damage if I'm in frenzy, this has happened before so I'm fairly careful about avoiding it, even going as far as cancelling mid-swing.
